I won the second prize in the Fraunhofer Portugal Challenge 2022 in the MSc category! This competition distinguishes innovative, technologically and sustainable ideas resulting from final master's and PhD work carried out in Portuguese universities. It was a very enriching experience, in which I was able not only to disseminate and present my master's work but also to meet many experts in the area.

March, 2022 - Present

Research Fellowship at Instituto de Sistemas e Robótica (ISR-IST) and NOVA FCT: I'm still working with my supervisors Cláudia and Manuel in the research field - Deepen previous works on predicting bicycle traffic in Bike Sharing Systems and extension of the approach to the problem of forecasting waiting times in Lisbon hospitals.

December, 2021

M.Sc. in Data Science and Engineering: Last year, on December 20, I successfully defended my master thesis titled "A Cluster-Based Trip Prediction Graph Neural Network Model for Bike Sharing Systems", with a grade of 19 out of 20. I worked under the supervision of Professors Cláudia Soares and Manuel Marques, and our work concerns a bicycle trips predictor based on Graph Neural Network embeddings in the context of Bike Sharing Systems.

First Paper Submitted! Scientific Paper Submission to the journal IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems of the work developed with my supervisors during my master thesis.

February, 2021

Collaboration with Alfredo AI: In the first semester in the last year of the master's degree, in the context of the discipline Applications of Data Science and Engineering at IST, I developed with a colleague the project "Automatic Generation of Real Estate Listing Text Descriptions for Residential Real Estate Using a Transformer" in the field of Natural Language Processing. This project emerged as an improvement of an old prototype of Real Estate Machine Learning Startup, Alfredo AI, which through some features of the property creates the respective real estate listing using Machine Learning techniques.

Tec Labs Open Day: I and my team presented our business idea developed in the Entrepreneurship classes at FCUL, in the scope of Road Safety - Our idea consisted of a system for screening users, restricting the use of Bike Sharing Systems by non-sober individuals.
